I’ve lived across the US in small towns, large cities and rural countrysides – these diverse spaces and communities are reflected in mingled memories and visuals throughout my work. Themes of industry and labor, sensory perception, and content culture often surface.
My paintings are abstract expressive pieces that develop through gestural mark-making, kinetic palettes and careful layer structuring. My encaustic collages are built with layers of photo illustration and graphics on varied substrates – fused and handcrafted with heated encaustic medium creating levels of translucence and texture.
_______________My fine art career includes work as a studio artist for The Metropolitan Museum and Christieʼs Auction House – and for years I was a lead associate within a fine art consultant business in Manhattan. I also develop visual and conceptual content for clients including Apple, Google, and global advertising agencies. BFA in Illustration/Studio Art from Marywood University with additional training from NYU, FIT, Pratt and the Int’l Center of Photography. I exhibit nationally in galleries and museums, and my work has been published in The Denver Post and Manhattan Arts International.

CHECK IN / CHECK OUT encaustic photo collages
Check In / Check Out is an ongoing series about finding balance and serenity in the era of doom scrolling, click bait and rabbit holes. Triggering words from contemporary discourse merge with nature based imagery, using photos from my personal archive to develop curious landscapes. Composites on rice paper are fused with encaustic wax to wood panel. These pieces can be 10 layers deep. Each piece is unique – no multiples/ editions.

HEAVY METAL mixed media photo collages
Developed from my photos of industrial structures, construction sites and heavy machinery. My inclination toward this imagery comes from living in several post-industrial areas. I grew up in Scranton PA – with many structures that once housed factories, coal mines and steel mills. For years I lived in Brooklyn’s DUMBO neighborhood, characterized by 19th century industrial and warehouse buildings – and the massive steel Manhattan Bridge overhead.
